Next Construction Milestone Nears for The Smith Center

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is taking center stage at Symphony Park as this exciting project nears its next milestone.  In just a few weeks, The Smith Center will “top out” construction as it reaches its highest point – 170 feet, to be exact. Steel erection work has been underway since November 30, and construction crews are presently focused on placing the steel for the auditorium balcony. Work is also underway on the administrative/office and back-of-house area in Reynolds Hall. “The dream of bringing a world-class stage to Las Vegas inches closer to reality every day,” said Myron Martin, president and CEO of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. “It’s both gratifying and exhilarating to watch construction workers make such significant progress on this magnificent facility that will soon enhance the cultural landscape of our city.”
