Woodbury's Math & Science Academy named a "Top School"

Woodbury's Math & Science Academy, a charter school open to Stonemill Farms students in grades 6-12, is one of only five Minnesota schools included one a list of the nation's "Top Performing Schools," compiled by BusinessWeek magazine and GreatSchools.net.

The Math & Science Academy was selected for the overall "Top Performing" category in the BusinessWeek/GreatSchools list.  To rank schools, editors looked at the most recent test scores available for reading, math and science, with reading and math weighted twice as much as science. Where available, they also used the percentage of students scoring at the advanced level.

The Math & Science Academy is also among the few schools in Minnesota to receive a distinguished GreatSchools rating of 10 out of 10 points. 

Stonemill Farms is located in the South Washington County Independent School District, and other schools serving the community have also received high rankings from GreatSchools.net.

Woodbury Senior High School has a GreatSchools rating of 8, and Lake Junior High School has the highest 10 rating.  Liberty Ridge Elementary School has a GreatSchools rating of 9.
