Musuem of Natural Science
Telfair is also home to a new branch of the Houston Museum of
Natural Science, now under development in the historic Central
State Farm building, which was preserved and donated by Newland
Communities. This world-class museum, planned to open in
Fall 2009, will provide Telfair residents of all ages with a world
of learning and discovery, right in their own community. The
museum will be one of three major focal points in the new Telfair
Central recreational and cultural complex, along with Telfair
Central Hall, an inviting community gathering space, and a planned
neighborhood shopping center.
